Daytona Beach
is the ultimate beach town, with it's beautiful, seemingly
endless stretch of hard packed sand ,t-shirt shops, surfers
and sun worshipers! The beach is 23 miles long- at low tide
it is up to 500 ft. across, and is lined with hundreds of
wonderful hotels that give you the ultimate views of the
ocean! Cars are allowed to slowly (10 mph)
cruise up and down the beach at low tide, and can be a nice,
relaxing thing to do after a long day of baking in the sun! If you've never been to Daytona
Beach, check out the
"Beach
Info" section for some great
tips!

coast of the United States, this Atlantic Ocean fishing pier
offers everything you need for

Daytona Beach is undergoing a beautification
process along A1A! The streets have been widened, and
landscaped with a new tropical look, plus there are a lot of
large hotels being built! The new

restaurants, and recreational and entertainment venues which
are great for everyone from families with young children, to
retirees, to young couples! Enjoy a movie at the
, or just soak in the spectacular views
from this area while you sip on a cold, tropical drink!
Daytona is
known as the "Birthplace of Speed" because of the pioneering
auto enthusiasts who would race their cars on the hard
packed sand, along the ocean! The land speed record was
smashed five times by the British millionaire Malcolm
Campbell who, in 1935, roared along at 276 mph! When high
speeds made racing on the sands unsafe, the
Daytona International
Speedway, was built three miles west of downtown
along International Speedway Boulevard! While you're at the
speedway, visit "DAYTONA
USA", "The Official Attraction of NASCAR," - its an
interactive motorsports attraction, which has been
delivering magical motorsports memories to both hard-core
race fans and casual observers through hands-on activities,
challenging thrills and one-of-a-kind sights. Don't miss the
The Coca-Cola IMAX Theatre, where you can experience a
45-minute,3-D film that takes fans inside the world of
NASCAR's elite drivers and teams! From inside the
garages to amazing on-track footage, fans will have a new
perspective on the fastest growing sports in America!
If high speed thrills are your thing, then you
will want to go on the
Richard Petty Driving
Experience!- You'll ride around the 31° banked turns
of the of historic 2.5 mile Daytona
International Speedway and real life racing thrills by
riding shotgun in a 2-seat stock car driven by one of our
professional instructors for a simulated 3-lap NASCAR
qualifying run at speeds exceeding 160 MPH." (must be
booked in advance) You WILL be in a real race car, right
on the actual speedway track! Really gets the adrenaline
going!
The self-proclaimed
"World's Most Famous Beach" is an epicenter of activity for

then make sure to plan your vacation accordingly!
